MITEINANDERS

This exhibition is dedicated to the concepts of union and separation. The recurrent elements of uniting and separating from each other coin our social environment as well as the development of cultures and single individuals. To unite in order to allow coexistence and to turn away at the same time in order to experience oneself, these are important topics, which especially in times of globalization cause a feeling of uncertainty. That feeling and a concurrent curiosity concerning this challenge also reflect in contemporary art. The exhibition works with situations of having a different cultural background and embarking on a journey of common interest or dealing with the differences between generations while discovering the similarities. Also the individual need for conformity as well as separation from the masses are topics worked on by the artists.
